It couldn’t be helped, with large parts of the world, including the Costa del Sol, in lockdown in response to the Covid-19 situation, business was down for the simple reason that movement and travel were impaired. Sectors such as retail and hostelry were particularly hard-hit, as were airlines and certain types of manufacturing, but property agents, both in Marbella and across the world, proved very adaptable in using modern communication technologies to continue to offer virtual property tours and enable prospective buyers to view and select homes of interest to them. Last month may have been November but it might as well have been Christmas every day in Marbella with community events and local companies bringing festive cheer to one and all. From special nights at the theatre in the city of Málaga to skiing at a luxury resort in the Sierra Nevada, there has already been an immense amount of fun and indulgence to appreciate on the coast this year. The festivities won’t stop until after Kings Day in January 2020, so make notes for your diary and just enjoy it all!

The last day of the month welcomes in celebrations in the form of Andalucía Day, a regional festivity that commemorates the day this part of Spain voted to become an autonomous region of the country. The anniversary is usually spent in the company of family and friends, and people enjoy themselves in various ways: eating delicious Andalusian cuisine, appreciating music and perhaps sampling some Spanish wines.
